Uses:

Mainly used as a molybdenum additive in steel-making. Adding molybdenum in the steel can enable the steel to have uniform fine-grained tissue and improve the steel hardenability, which is condu-ctive to eliminating temper brittleness. In high-speed steel, molybdenum can replace some tungsten. Together with other alloying elements, molybdenum can be widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. Put into the cast iron, Molybdenum can increase its strength and wear resistance.

The product quality standard implements national standard GB3649—87
Appearance quality

The qualified alloy has microcrystalline organizations, with no luster in the cross-section. If there are bright “small star points” in the cross-section, it shows there is high sulfur content. If there is luster in the cross-section, the “mirror shining status” is a feature of high silicon content in the alloy.
Packing

The product is packed in iron barrel and the net weight is 100kg each barrel.
Physical state
The product is delivered in blocks, with the block size ranging from 10~150mm; the amount with the particle size bellow 10mm should not exceed 55 of the total amount; the maximum of some block size is 180mm in a direction is allowed.
